i asked him today.

i asked him today when he told me "i love you," how he knows it's love.

he said it is a feeling.

i asked him if he loved someone else before,
he said no.

i asked him if he hadn't, how would he know this is love?
he said he knows it when he's with me.

i asked him how he knows the feeling is love?
he said it's the feeling of willing to make sacrifices and wanting to spend many many years with a person.

i said "me too."

to fall in love and get married with your loved one, isn't that a most normal wish?

the future looks bleak. it's blur.
so much uncertainty.
there's only so much time left.
there's only so much time left to wait.

which one is nice?

nothing irks me more than a bad haircut. worst if it is a bad haircut gone too short. i get very cranky. sigh. i miss my fussfree days where my hair always fall into good hands. these days my luck with stylists seemed to turn bad. last night over supper, i commented on one of my male friend's hair. looks great on him and i thought maybe i can get to try his stylist. turns out the stylist is one who is home-based after years working at a pretty well-known salon in SG. and it turns out that most of my friends present at the table visits the stylist, and even their girlfriends, through word-of-mouth. seems like i really have to give the stylist a try, i hope i've found my saviour!

singapore biennale - south beach

first few pictures from the singapore biennale at south beach from the past week. i had no idea of the building's existence till biennale chose this as one of their premises for exhibitions. the premise had seen better days as a police camp, if i remember correctly. slated for some eco stuff for the future.

this swing is assembled with fluorescent light tubes. connected to two motors within the ceiling, it appears to swing by itself. spooked me when it appeared in the corner of my eye as i entered the room.

been to some of the rest at other venues, pictures will be up some time later.

was caught in the heavy rain today. it eventually led me to walk around and take some pictures around the Formula 1 track and grandstand. pictures up soon!

did anyone catch the dramatic final on sunday? punters who placed their bets on alonso are probably laughing their way speedfast to the banks. he almost switched positions with massa, although it was by a most unexpected twist of fate. i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw massa rip off the fuel pipe. i am by no means a F1 fan. the hype caught up with me only recently, rightfully, for this F1 is a big deal for Singapore. and i must admit it is kinda enjoyable and thrilling. so when that damn pipe tore off and whipped a guy along, the thought of an explosion did flash through my mind. that wouldn't go down well for the world's first night race, no?

i am immensely proud of SG. the skyline is impeccable. a jewel it is indeed. in my view, part of its magic lies in the time difference. the time difference between SG and European countries made the beautiful night skyline appears even more enchanting than it already was when it appear on their TV screens in the day faraway across the globe. the cars and the whole race did appear nicer in the night too. you see how those cars gleem? very photogenic. i happened to be around days before the race when the lights were up for testing. even the taxis, buses and vans shone like proud new vehicles under the lightings.

here, the excitement doesn't just die away with the advancement and moving on of the grand prix.
here, the future is buzzing.
