mid-autumn festival

chinese around the world celebrated mid-autumn festival last sunday. it's on the 15th of every eighth month on the lunar calendar. on this day, mooncakes are the traditional food exchanged, the moon is supposed to be the fullest too (i took the above picture days later, though). one of my favourite festival in the calendar-kinda romantic isn't it, a night with the fullest moon.

some celebration/performance event at a temple i went with my mum. performers decked out in extravangance costumes, belting out tunes to a really huge crowd. free food and lanterns too.

the man with feathers did some costume-changing really speedily and re-appeared as the clown. he later changed into a policeman. the little girl, she's only four.
